People and Process

Many, many people have added their energy to this building already. We couldn't do it without all of their help. But here's the major players:

Coordinators:In 1999 and 2000 Jess and Tony co-coordinated the main construction part of the project. Our building experience is minimal but we're quick to learn with a good blend of confidence and caution.

In 2001 skyhouse hired Roger and Lisa from Big Muddy Construction to coordinate the onsite work on Skyhouse.

Tony is still overseeing the project but is unable to do the hands on work because of his tendinitis.

Interns: Dancing Rabbit has had a thriving intern program and one of the main areas of learning is natural building. We really couldn't do it all without their help. Special thanks to Karen, Wendy, Jenni, Stephanie, Christina, Tamar, Aaron, Elizabeth, Emily, Scott, Laurel, Sedge and more to come.

Residents and Members: In 2000 Lyzyrd helped coordinate the Skyhouse project for a few months and in 2001 Mark and Brad were dedicate workers on the the Skyhouse site. In 2002 Jane, Erin, Lindsey, Becca, Thomas, Leah, and Betsy have all been a great help as short term residents with Tom, Eric, Mark, and Megan in it for the longer haul.
Visitors: With hundreds of visitors coming through DR every year we get a lot of help on construction from so many different people. I'd love to be able to thank them all personally, but I just can't imagine keeping up with the list. If you want to come and help out let us know.

Solar Electric: Cecil is the electric co for Skyhouse. He set up the panels, batteries, inverter, and did the house wiring and lighting.
